Oh, free radicals are pesky things. They come into the body and lower the immune system and cause the body to work harder to heal itself from the damage that it has caused.
But, how do free radicals enter the human body in the first place?
Lots of ways!
Not just diet related.
Here are some sources of free radicals:
- Unhealthy foods
- Fatty foods
- Smoking and other carcinogens
- Air pollution/smog
Free Radicals cause damage [Oxidative Stress], which means they open the door for bacteria and viruses to enter the cells.
Antioxidants protect the body, please eat them!
