Being that this is an important month of awareness, here is the #1 health tip that I have to share that will benefit everyone:
Consume less sugar! White and refined sugar is one of the worst things that we put into our bodies. Here are some reasons why:
- White, refined sugar feeds diseases and illnesses.
- It takes away resources (vitamins and minerals) from your body and internal organs. (For instance, it eats calcium.)
- Sugar also uses a lot of Earth resources to be processed.
- It is also addicting.
Sugar takes the form of granulated sugar but also high fructose corn syrup, other types of syrup, powdered sugar, moist brown sugar… that’s all bad for your body if you eat too much everyday like most of us do.
Because refined sugar is in almost everything that is pre-packaged, you have to take an active role to be aware of how much you’re eating. But, it is worth it to significantly cut back on it as much as you can.
At the very least, your immune system will be a lot stronger!
