Chances are, you haven’t. That’s okay, the good thing is that you can change up the energy and lighten up your current life experience by consuming a fresh glass of water. Yes, it really works! But, all water available is not equal. Check out this video to see the 6 Different Types!:
Man, I was excited when I saw this in a local convenience store.
There was NO WAY I could pass an Almond Milk Starbucks drink without giving it a try!
I love coffee!
& I used to love these Starbucks drinks! My sister would buy them for me and I enjoyed every drop.
As I became more health conscious, dairy milk disappeared from my diet.
And these pre-made drinks disappeared too.
Taste: Sweet and creamy. They taste just like the dairy ones. I wish there were more flavors to choose from.
Would I re-purchase? Hmmm let me see how much energy I gain and I’ll get back to you 😉

On the health side, there are weird ingredients that the cleanest eaters may be wary of… Like cellulose gel.
However for me, I don’t really mind at this time 🙂

Sage is very well-known as a tool that is used to clean the air / atmosphere. Any stuffy places will be refreshed by burning sage. The smoke actually disinfects too – it kills bacteria in the air. More specifically, it’s the essential oils that become airborne that do the cleansing. We can thank the powerful sage essential oil for that.
Of course, a dry bundle of whole sage leaves is not the only form it’s found in. As an herb, rubbed and/or ground sage is found in many spice cabinets. The savory flavor goes well with comforting foods.
Fresh sage is really interesting – the leaves are soft like plant-based velvet. If you need to smudge your house in a emergency and you don’t have any sage bundles, you can boil fresh sage leaves and use the steam to do what you need to do.
Consuming sage in the form of a tea is great to fight inflammation in the body’s digestive system. The cleansing effects that sage brings to an environment also extends to the environment of your body. Be consistent with your sage consumption and your immune system will thank you. It comes in capsules to make it easier to eat a lot of. Remember, gaining benefits from herbs comes down to
1. Eating them consistently,
2. Over a respectable period of time.
Sage also smells wonderful and will cover up almost any other smell, for example burnt food or tobacco smoke.
Don’t leave hot sage unattended because sometimes it’s still smouldering when it should have gone out a while ago.
Coffee qualifies as a plant-based beverage. Essentially made with beans and water; it sounds like it should be pretty healthy.
New ways to prepare old favorite food and drinks are everywhere. It’s the best when the new way is healthier, too!
Some may say that cold brew coffee isn’t new but lately it’s being talked about a lot more than ever before.
Is coffee healthy? Who knows, honestly. Some say it’s a drug, it’s a diuretic, it’s addicting, and even that it’s healthy.
The opinion here is that Coffee is okay. It gets more unhealthier the more “add-ins” there are (like granulated sugar and creamers…)
Good advice: drink more water than coffee.
The thing about coffee that makes gives me the most pause is the acidity of hot coffee. It’s just unfortunate, really. But thats where cold brew comes in.
Cold brew means that hot, boiling water is not used in the process of making it.
Using cold water cuts the acidity by around 60-70%. That’s great!
What’s not so great is the process of cold brewing requires the coffee drinker to plan ahead. Like, ahead-ahead. Unlike hot coffee, which can be prepared on about 3 minutes, cold brew goodness requires a few hours until it’s ready. Some say overnight.
However, that’s not a bad thing. The advantage is that a person can make large batches at a time and it’ll be ready to go at a moments notice.
The coffee will be cold to drink, though. Which is fine for someone like me. Iced coffee is the bees knees.
So the musings come in now, with questions of whether or not the acidity levels will rise if the coffee is then warmed up..
And then sweetening cold brewed coffee can really only be accomplished with a liquid sweetener. These are generally bad, unless you make it yourself with good ingredients.
A premade creamer will blend in well with cold coffee, if need be.
I think it would be worth it to try to make your own creamer/sweetener. After all if your making your own cold brew then you can probably do that too!
Can we discuss for a moment, Premade cold brew coffee drinks?
Generally speaking they seem to be reasonably priced (when purchased at the grocery store). And easy to drink. Too easy sometimes, especially if it’s tasty.
I find that for hot coffee, one cup is usually enough caffeine. But for cold brew iced coffee drinks, I’ll be tempted to drink more just because it’s so refreshing. Yes that’s a problem! That’s an easy way to catch the jitters.
Also, always take note of the sugar content in the prepackaged stuff. I like Califia brand, they seem to be reasonable when it comes to the add-ins.
Unfortunately they give no indication of the caffeine content. Also, “XX Espresso”? Where? Lol. Seems normal to me.
Next up is Gevalia. Seems okay.
This product doesn’t seem very caffeine dense. I’ve been following the directions, using 1/2 a cup (with almond milk) and it’s okay.
I mean, I loved iced coffee so, hell yeah, this rocks!
But as a caffeine source, it is hard to come up with a conclusion. Partially because I’ve been significantly sleep deprived (busy life!! Like website content being punched out at 12:34 midnight. ) And, remember friends, caffeine is not a replacement for sleep. Let’s be sure we’re getting enough of that Light Source. Seriously. That’s an order!

These have 3 flavors that I saw and this is the only one I saw with salt. So I guess that’s an important flavoring component.
Okay you guys, ironically I’m sleepy so we’ll conclude this convo with something very important:
7-Eleven is selling their luxurious cold brew for only one dollar. Take advantage!
The search for healthy energy drinks may have reached an apex. I can’t imagine anything surpassing these Yachak Yerba Mate drinks.
It’s not pronounced mate, it sounds like MAH-TAYE.
Herbal caffeine sources are not as potent as coffee beans. Although, coffee is a bean so it is a plant (score one for plant based lifestyles!). But it’s roasted, which makes it not very good, unfortunately.
As a life long coffee lover, the flavor of coffee just cannot be substituted for me. At least, I haven’t found a good substitute yet. (If you know of any please let me know!)
HOWEVER, I have found a good caffeine source that’s better than coffee.
Yes, I said better than coffee. It’s better because it’s healthier.
Sometimes coffee creates the jitters – especially when there is a sale where you can purchase a large coffee for only one dollar. That means, I’ll probably consume too much coffee. And sometimes I’ll feel weird afterward.
Okay, okay, this post is not supposed to be about coffee. Of course I can talk about this, at length, for pages and pages.
but, I won’t waste your time with my coffee love letter. This is what we are here to talk about:
This drink is wonderful. Aluminium packaging aside – I don’t have anything bad to say about this.
I purchased it from a rural 7-Eleven. The cans are kind of big and I was hesitant to drink the entire thing at one time. But I did.
It was glorious.
The natural caffeine in this drink was a smooth arrival. I felt lifted, naturally. Not jittery, not too hype. Natural is a perfect word for it.
It’s in a can but no, it’s not caffeinated. It is herbal flavored, especially the Infused Mate flavor (above).
But there are other flavors too, I was pleased to discover.
I was skeptical about this one because of the mint but it was good too. I really don’t have anything bad to say about these drinks. They’re refreshing and I’ve had a solid number of them over this summer 🙂
Something else wonderful about Yerba Mate is that it is not dehydrating like coffee/green tea/black tea.
This one is my favorite flavor. It has real juice in it.
If you’re seeking a super sweet drink, this is not it. These are slightly sweet, kind of fruity (if it’s a berry flavor) and refreshing as hell, especially on a hot summer day!
So, yes. Try it.
