Plant based enthusiasts rejoice!: Another big name company is getting on the vegan train, making it easier for all of us to enjoy a non-dairy lifestyle.Country Crock has done it with their new line of PLANT BUTTER. Here’s the ingredients:One concern is the Lactic Acid but I’ll assume that has plant-based origins as well. The name Plant Butter is slightly indulgent as the ingredients are mostly oil (79% to be exact) but that’s only an issue for people who avoid oil for whatever reason. That’s not me so I’m totally free to enjoy this to my heart’s content. These plant butters come in a spreadable version and in sticks for baking. The flavor choices are olive oil, avocado oil and almond oil.Almond oil is the most unique out of the three so that is the one that I grabbed. It would be nice to try all versions in the same timeframe but I may need to discuss that with Country Crock more directly (anyone have a phone number…?) :)So what is in my fridge is the almond oil based plant butter.I made toast with it this morning for my son and I to enjoy before he went to school.”Is that oil?” He asked as he inspected the toast.(Sometimes I drizzle bread with olive oil for toast and he doesn’t really like it that way.)”It’s a new vegan butter.” I tell him as he takes a bite.My son Legendary is known for his honesty and quick determination when it comes to new foods. He gave his thoughts on it immediately:”It’s good!” He proclaimed. And good it is.Buttery and salty, just like I like it.It tastes slightly like I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, but a little fresher and real.Next, I gotta get some sticks of Country Crock Plant Butter and see how it does in baked goods.Omg, vegan pound cake, perhaps?! My mouth waters at the very thought!
I had the wonderful pleasure of being one of the first to try some new body butter made by Honey Punny!
First let me say that this post is not sponsored – I purchased this myself and even chose the lemon scent too! 🍋
So with that being said, I have to say that I really love this body butter.
It’s really, really smooth, thanks to the mixture of coconut oil, cocoa butter and Shea butter. It glides on so smoothly! It’s amazing.
The lemon scent is super fresh and crisp. And long lasting – I used some hours ago and I can still smell it on my skin.
And, that’s not all. As a gift, the creator of Honey Punny, Kishawna, also included some free samples – a couple of bath bomb and some Vicks Vapor Rub Crystals. They are both well crafted as well. Check out a full review of these products below:

As the search for healthy energy drinks continue, Guru slides in favorably with ginseng and echinacea as ingredients. Check it out:
This review will cover the taste and the energy!
First, the taste.
It was weird.
A strange after taste is pretty common with fizzy energy drinks. This one is one of the least tasty to me.
It’s not very sweet, which I’m okay with. But the after taste was kinda bitter. I ended up adding apple juice and ice to mellow it out. It worked! It tasted like a seltzer soda.
As for the energy part, that was good! I did feel increased energy from this drink.
There was no jitters, no weird feelings… It was almost as if I didn’t have any kind of energy supplement!
The result was that I wasn’t sleepy anymore. I drank this around 4 in the afternoon and was still able to sleep well at 10pm. Sounds like a winner to me!
Man, I was excited when I saw this in a local convenience store.
There was NO WAY I could pass an Almond Milk Starbucks drink without giving it a try!
I love coffee!
& I used to love these Starbucks drinks! My sister would buy them for me and I enjoyed every drop.
As I became more health conscious, dairy milk disappeared from my diet.
And these pre-made drinks disappeared too.
Taste: Sweet and creamy. They taste just like the dairy ones. I wish there were more flavors to choose from.
Would I re-purchase? Hmmm let me see how much energy I gain and I’ll get back to you 😉
*Update: Yesss, Caffeine! ⚡️
On the health side, there are weird ingredients that the cleanest eaters may be wary of… Like cellulose gel.
However for me, I don’t really mind at this time 🙂
Will you try one?
Shopping in the food section of CVS Pharmacy reminded me of being in a convenience store looking for snacks.
There were cookies and wine, boxed meals and stuff you can just-add-water to and microwave. Even a refrigerated section was there too.
I was looking for the healthy, low-sugar snack options, as per usual.
Luckily, I came across these glazed nuts from the Sahale Snacks brand. They are available for $1.50 a pack. Worth it!
I love these things! I was sharing with Legendary Khalifah but I ate most of them on my own!
The Red pack are full of cashews with a pomegranate vanilla glaze. They also had pieces of candied fruit in the mix. So delicious.
The glaze on them is generous and flavourful. And sweet. The vanilla scent comes through very fragrantly, like an essence almost.
They taste really classy. I enjoyed the eating experience of these.
If only there were more in the pack lol
The second flavor I had to try were also pomegranate glaze flavored, only this time with pistachios and cashews.
Again, these were super tasty but they also had a flavorful twist that surprised me!
Some bites were kind of spicy!
I looked in the ingredient list for something peppery or maybe ginger but all it said were “spices”.
No complaints, I enjoy spicy food (especially sweet and spicy!)
If I had to choose a favorite flavor, I’d go with the green pistachio ones because of the spicy element. The pistachios were also good.
While I don’t normally shop in CVS for food, it now seems that I have a reason to specifically go into the store to buy more of these!
This pomegranate glaze nuts are a winner for me!
